An AI Presence Score is a 0-100 metric that quantifies how visible a brand is inside AI-generated answers. It is calculated by running a set of realistic customer questions across multiple AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) and scoring how often - and how favorably - the brand appears in the responses.
A typical audit generates the questions from your website and market (or takes your own list), runs each across the models, and classifies every answer: brand recommended, mentioned, absent, or competitor recommended instead. The aggregate becomes the score; the per-question detail becomes the work list.
The score's real value is comparative: tracked over time it shows whether your GEO work is landing, and per-model breakdowns show where you are strong (one assistant) but invisible (another).
